The piece is intended for audiences over 16.

Lost in the Skin is a physiological and philosophical story about deep experiencing and getting to know oneself. Once more, after democratic body, the body becomes the main protagonist of Piotrowska’s piece. The skin becomes a sort of convention, protection, umbrella, trampoline. One only knows one’s mirror image – to feel oneself is an alien sensation. To love oneself, to respect oneself, to be honest with oneself. The presence and broader knowledge of oneself, one’s body, translate into better functioning in a society of other bodies, other but identical.

Anna Piotrowska is the artistic manager of the ROZBARK Dance and Movement Theatre in Bytom, dancer, choreographer, director, contemporary dance teacher, director of the Dance Development Foundation eferte, and the founder of the "mufmi" contemporary dance group. She is the author of over 90 original choreographies and performances. She was the originator and coordinator of a number of Polish and international cultural and educational programmes. She is the recipient of the "Golden Mask" prize, awarded by the Silesian Province, for her contributions to the ROZBARK Theatre.
