Anka Herbut

A dramaturg, art critic, curator, a theatre and film reviewer. She works on the border of artistic practice and theoretical reflection. Herbut is interested in new media, movement dramaturgy, dance and language performatics. She has worked with Marta Ziółek (Make yourself, Komuna//Warszawa, 2016) Iza Szostak (Excavatory Ballet, Cricoteka Centre for the Documentation of the Art of Tadeusz Kantor, 2015), Maria Stokłosa (Wylinka, Museum of Modern Art, 2014), Łukasz Twarkowski (Akropolis in National Stary Theatre in Kraków, 2014; GRIMM: Black Snow, 2016; Black Sun, 2015; KLINIKEN/love is colder than death, 2013; Farinelli, 2011 – Polski Theatre in Wrocław), Kuba Kowalski (Used to Be Better, Stefan Jaracz Theatre in Olsztyn, 2011) and Radek Rychcik (Madame Bovary, 2010 and A Lover's Discourse: Fragments, 2009 in the Dramatyczny Theatre in Warsaw).

Herbut writes for Dwutygodnik, Notatnik Teatralny, BIURO, POST, Monogram and for Gastro Zin published bythe Food Think Tank. She is a member of the Wrocław-based interdisciplinary Identity Problem Group. The winner of Krzysztof Mętrak Award for young film critics organized by the Polish Film Institute and The T-Mobile New Horizons International Film Festival (2015).
