With the invention of sampling, electronic music was transferred into the virtual realm. This Is a Musical restores the instrument’s physical aspect, treating the performer’s body as a source of sound. The performance explores the death of a human being that results in the birth of an object – a sexual machine. This is a poetry of desire that "is not only recited by heart, it is recited by a repression of the heart." (Guy Hocquenghem)
