The choreographer used one of the most popular pieces of classical music, the zoological fantasy by Camille Saint-Saëns as the basis for a humour-filled performance for children that also draws on the contemporary inspiration with the game Angry Birds. The joint production of BTL and DanceOFFnia illustrates a number of very popular musical themes. Each of the miniatures in Carnival of the Animals features different protagonists: donkeys, turtles, elephants or swans... However, they are merely a pretext for showing human weaknesses, values and relationships. This performance offers young viewers not only delightful music, but also an opportunity to discover a whole range of human behaviours and feelings in dancing and having fun.
