Shape of Things. About Coal and Porcelain by Rafał Urbacki and Anu Czerwiński is a performance balancing on the verge of contemporary dance, stage design, film, scientific paper and social activities, creating a story about women’s work in Silesia. Forgotten female cogwheels in this production machine regain its place in the industrial map of Silesia. They retell their stories from scratch with the voices of workers: Irma and Basia and with the shapes of coal and porcelain. The creators compare and contrast the nature of these women’s work with the work of choreographer and dancer Kaya Kołodziejczyk.
