At least all's not the way it was supposed to be, not as we've planned it, because happiness was our plan from day one, of course. Commonly present in wishes made on every occasion, and a promise of heaven you would sell your soul for. An illusory phenomenon, so close at hand and so out of reach. Immaterial. It comes and goes; absorbed by its presence, you don't even notice that it's floated out of the window. Or it stays forever, but you find out about it only decades later. Simply, it was impossible to recognise from such a close distance.
